Klesarska Škola: A Sound Experience
(working title)
Klesarska Škola is an experimental documentary about a unique high school for stonemasons on Brač Island, Croatia. It’s not a traditional documentary — there are no interviews, no narration. Instead, the film follows limestone from quarry to classroom to final creation, told entirely through image and sound.
At the center is the school itself, where teenagers transform raw stone into both functional architecture and art. The soundtrack is made from stone itself: chisels, hammers, and wind across the Adriatic, woven into an original “stone music” score by an alum of the school.
We are 90% finished filming and now in post-production collaborating with musician, stonemason, and alum of Klesarska Škola, Ivan Rapić Inno. Together, we are crafting a contemplative, immersive experience where stone is the main participant.
We are seeking partners and supporters to complete post-production — editing, sound design, sound mix, and color — and to bring the film to festivals, broadcasters, and cultural audiences worldwide.
Klesarska Škola is both a portrait of a place and a meditation on craft, tradition, and the meaning of success in a small Adriatic town.
